Here is the icy-veins strat for this fight:

http://www.icy-veins.com/the-stone-guard-detailed-strategy-wow

This fight is the first one we will face. It seems the fight focuses mainly on tank coordination and situational awareness for the rest of the raid. Read the strat and let's get ready to carry on with the raiding momentum we had at the end of Cata.

Having wiped on them ~30 times in other raids and still not having them down, I can safely say that they are no joke and are way way harder than in LFR. Unfortunately it puts a lot of the strain onto the tanks. If you don't have time to read the entire guide, you need to know at least this:

always have the petrifying Guardian next to the Guardian with the lowest amount of energy

If they're taunted/moved immediately, there shouldn't be 2 overloads right after each other. The other abilities can be annoying, but be summed up as "don't stand in bad stuff". We can work on those as the fight goes on if we need to. Multiple 250k raid-wide blasts in a short window is almost impossible to recover from, though. I hope our tanks are ready and I can't wait to give it a whirl this week! Hopefully we'll prove that we have what it takes to get this fight down. The second fight seems much easier to me once we get this one down.

I'm starting to like these videos. Not as informative and executive as Tankspot used to be but it gets the job done for those that cant cypher through the algebra vomit of written strats

Alternate video from tankspot. One thing I noticed was nobody was taking a tramendous amount of damage. I want to know how we get there.
